I live in a small town in Washington State, USA, with my wife, two sons, two dogs, a cat, and family nearby. I work at the local community college as an I.T. Specialist. In March of '02, we bought a 70-some year old house that needed a lot of work. When I'm not working on the house, I like to throw pots, be outside, and read a lot.

Thursday, June 23, 2005BeforeGetting the materials purchased and hauled to the house took the better part of a day. Like Merideth and Beth, we ended up with 2-3 bags extra of concrete. Thats OK, though, as I can use it elsewhere. We ended up going two feet down and six feet up. Based on the amount of rock and hard clay we had to auger and pick through I doubt this posts will be going anywhere soon.posted by Scott in Washington at
