• Good looking gate - I see you swung it opposite of the original plan, which looks like it makes a lot more sense.

• Ya, I agree with Cousin Steve. The gate looks good, and swinging out is better. Have you had dog-digging problems like you were worried about?

• Some dogs are diggers some aren't. Jonah doesn't chew stuff up and he doesn't dig. Lily digs. She digs in the driveway, scratches at the deck like she is digging, makes a bee line for any potted plants, and did I mention that she digs? Mostly I think its the puppy in her but also whatever non-lab genes she got in the mix must have some sort of digger dog makeup.
  
  I don't let them off the porch into the yard unsupervised but the other day while I was at work Lily got off the porch but Jonah didn't. Although she dug a hole almost two feet deep, she didn't think to dig under the fence and was laying contentedly in the yard when I got home.
