Signs of Life on Clark Creek

Well, I ran my marathon, made it through the quarter at work, and the semester at night school. Yesterday I spent most my time getting firewood in and loading the kiln out at the studio. Today was my first free day to get to work on projects around here. I used up an entire can of Great Stuff like some sort of demented mud wasp set loose on drafty cracks and crevices around the house. That stuff really does expand to twice its initial volume just like the directions say in really, really fine print. So far over the holiday break I've managed about 8-10 hours on what can legitimately be called home improvement time, which is 8-10 hours more than I got in last month, so I'm counting that a victory.

Tomorrow, more sanding on the floor upstairs. I promise!
